Print the gold finish into the part.
Gold PLA+Silk gives decorative models and showpieces a glossy metallic-looking surface without adding a separate paint step.
Made in Wisconsin with NatureWorks USA Ingeo resin and a stated 1.75 ± 0.03 mm diameter.

A finished model can still look unfinished when ordinary PLA reads as flat plastic.
Display parts, trophies, ornaments, props, and presentation models often need surface character more than structural performance. Standard PLA may print cleanly while still missing the reflective gold appearance the design calls for.
Painting adds sanding, masking, drying time, and another opportunity for the finish to go wrong. A decorative filament can put the visual effect into the print itself.
Use a silk blend built to print glossy straight from the spool.
COEX Gold PLA+Silk is sold for showpieces and decorative models, combining a glossy gold appearance with a familiar PLA-style printing workflow.
For this material, COEX lists a 215–235 °C hotend range, a recommended 40–60 °C bed, and cooling up to 100%. Tune within those ranges for your machine and geometry.

Questions before you order
Is this the 1 kg spool?
No. This page adds the 1.75 mm / 500 g variant at $21.00. Other sizes are separate variants on the canonical product record.
What temperatures should I start with?
COEX lists 215–235 °C for the hotend and recommends a 40–60 °C bed. Your machine, nozzle, speed, and model may require tuning within that range.
Is a heated bed mandatory?
The product record says a heated bed is recommended but not strictly required for PLA+Silk.
What if the filament starts popping or stringing?
Moisture can cause popping, under-extrusion, inconsistent extrusion, or excess stringing. COEX recommends drying exposed filament at 55 °C for at least 3 hours.
Skip the paint step on the next gold display print.
Use the selected 500 g spool, tune the verified starting profile, and let the filament supply the finish.
