Not a wall-outlet extension. This is a vehicle-side cable — it goes between the EV charger's built-in NACS connector and the car's charging inlet, never between the wall outlet and the charger. If your problem is the wall outlet being too far from the parking spot, install a properly rated dedicated circuit closer to the vehicle instead; household and NEMA extension cords are generally not appropriate for continuous EV charging. Tesla note: Tesla's Gen 2 Mobile Connector owner's manual explicitly prohibits supply-side extension cords. If you drive a Tesla and use a NACS Wall Connector or other NACS EVSE, confirm that unit's specific installation guide permits a vehicle-side extension between the EVSE and your car before using this cable. Can you use an extension cable with a Tesla or NACS EV charger?
Yes — on the vehicle side, when your specific Tesla or NACS EVSE's instructions permit it. The extension inserts between the EVSE's built-in NACS connector and your car's NACS inlet, adding 21 to 50 feet of reach. It does not extend the wall-outlet side of a portable EVSE, and it does not modify the EVSE's built-in signaling or safety protections.
Before charging with this extension, always verify:
- Your EVSE's manual permits a vehicle-side extension. Tesla's Gen 2 Mobile Connector explicitly prohibits supply-side extensions; treat the manual as authoritative for your specific unit.
- The extension's current rating matches or exceeds your EVSE's output. The WenStorm cable is 50A across all lengths.

Which WenStorm variant should I buy?
Match the length to your routed path — the distance the cable will actually follow between the EVSE's cable end and your car's NACS inlet, not the straight-line distance. Add 3 to 5 feet of slack so the cable never sits taut.
- 21 ft: Same-wall garage where the outlet is close to the parked vehicle's inlet side.
- 25 ft: Standard home garage with the outlet on the opposite wall or ceiling.
- 30 ft: Long garages, tandem parking, or workshop setups.
- 40 ft: Detached garage or driveway extension from a garage-mounted EVSE.
- 50 ft: Backyard parking pad or a detached workshop reached from a house-mounted EVSE. Do NOT route across a public sidewalk, driveway, or street — that creates a trip and traffic hazard and is often prohibited by local ordinance.
