The factory exhaust flap does not always follow your intent.
On supported BMWs, the vacuum-operated exhaust flap opens and closes according to the factory strategy. That can leave the driver without a direct choice when a quieter start or a more open exhaust note is wanted.
Crude workarounds can sacrifice convenient switching or create uncertainty about what the valve is doing. The first step is identifying the hardware: this controller is only for the vacuum-style valve system listed in the product fitment.
Add a dedicated command without replacing the exhaust.
This small controller connects to the vacuum solenoid in the trunk and gives the driver direct control of the existing exhaust flap.
It does not convert an electronic valve and should not be ordered unless the vehicle has the matching vacuum control unit. Installation is reversible.
